Taormina

Taormina is a world-famous tourist resort, endowed with a rare charm and atmosphere, whose fame is strictly related to the strong peculiarity of its setting. The main reason is the numerous stratifications of civilizations that have followed each other here since the VIII century B.C.

The Greek Theatre is the second largest classical theatre in Sicily (the largest is in Siracusa) and is, obviously, one of the symbols of Taormina, with a maximum diameter of 109 meters. Built in the Hellenic age by leveling the hill's summit, it was extended and almost totally rebuilt by the Romans and has been recently restored.

The conference venue is the Hotel Villa Diodoro****, located near the Greek theatre
